 Medical Massage:

This type of treatment focuses more on specific body regions instead of getting a full body massage.  An example would be, for knee pain we would focus on the legs for the duration of the treatment.  It would include myofacial and neuromuscular therapy.  To get the most out of this treatment it is recommended (not required) to do several treatments close together.

Cervical Pain Management:

This type of treatment focuses on conditions starting at the top of your shoulders ending at the top of your head.  It helps to increase range of motion in your neck, decrease headaches, TMJ pain, and stiffness.  This treatment alone can be performed in a 1/2hr session.

 Reflexology of the feet:

Increases relaxation to help combat stress.  The feet mirror the body with reflex points that correspond to other areas of the body.  Reflexology is done in a 1/2 session.

 Pre-Natal Massage:

Starting at week 12 during a pregnancy it is safe to begin massage up until you deliver.  It helps to relax your body and help with soreness that you experience during pregnancy.  I use a pre- natal table that enables you to lay on your stomach with the abdomen supported with a sling to decrease pressure on the back

 Rossiter:

This system focuses on relief and prevention of structural pain.

The Rossiter System is a two-person stretching modality that not only alleviates pain but can prevent its occurrence. It offers a series of powerful and effective techniques for addressing structural pain and restriction of movement at its source – the connective tissue system. Your will experience noticeable looseness in your joints with every session.

Thai Stretching Lower Body:

Using a sequence of gentle, flowing exercise movements, the recipient's body is moved, loosened and stretched at the joints and the muscles.  Helping to increase range of motion.  It can be incorporated into a regular massage or done alone.

Cupping Therapy:

Cupping massage is a technique that combines massage movements and negative pressure that is brought about with the help of a suction cup.  Once lotion is applied the cup is place on the skin with varying amouts of suction based on your responses. The underlying tissues and the skin is then pulled into the cup increasing both lymphatic and blood circulation.  It helps relax the muscle tissues, easing rigid soft tissue and loosening adhesions.  I also increases the flow of blood into the muscle and skin surfaces. Cupping reduces inflammation of tissures, increases range of motion, improves flexibility and helps to control pain.  I find that if your body is tender to the touch and you begin your massage with cupping it decreases your sensitivity to any pressure applied during the massage.
